Cholesterol is a fat that borders in the cells in the body of animals. Cholesterol is also found in the blood of humans. The cholesterol in humans originates from two major sources: dietary intake and liver production. Dietary cholesterol comes from meat, poultry, fish and dairy products. Meat products have high cholesterol content. After a meal the cholesterol is absorbed by the intestines in the blood circulation.

Arteries carry blood to different parts of the body for a variety of functions.Cholesterol causes hardening of the artery walls and narrow the lumen of the artery. A poor circulation can cause a lot of problems because blood is an important constituent in our body. Blocking of the arteries to the brain can lead to a stroke and loss of blood supply to the heart can lead to a heart failure. Therefore high cholesterol content in your system causes heart problems

The number of deaths due to cholesterol is increasing rapidly in the 21st century. The cause of high cholesterol is an improper diet. The intake of food and fatty foods by the population are the cause of high levels of cholesterol in the body. A proper diet is therefore very important for reducing fat and for leading a healthy life. Here are some of the items you can consume:

3)Fruits and Vegetables are not tasty and are hated by today population. However they are the solution to today’s problem and can help fight any disease. They also keep you fresh unlike meat and other non vegetarian foods and help you perform you day to day activities with gusto. Apricots, apples, sweet potatoes have high amount of fiber and this helps maintain low cholesterol levels.
